Without a Doubt The Best Lock in the World
I invested in an electric bike and wanted to feel that it was secure when out and about. With this lock l can leave it almost anywhere. I live in a very busy city where cycle theft is a very large industry.
Not for my bike though. I have seen cut locks and chains throughout , but mine has not even a touch.

Tested against the most D-locks on the market, LITELOK X1 is at least 5 times more resistant to angle grinder cuts. Additionally, X1 requires multiple discs to cut and due to its anti-rotation system, needs to be cut on both sides to remove.

Barronium® is a fused composite armour that offers unparalleled angle grinder resistance without adding extra weight. It is a super hard ceramic composite material that repels angle grinder attacks and turns the grinder's energy and force in on itself. Continuous cutting wears down the grinder discs, batteries and ultimately the grinder motor itself.

Can X1 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading D-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X1 weigh?
LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.
What's the difference between X1 Bike and X1 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features.
X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1.
X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling U-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured u-locks.
Can I attach LITELOK X1 to my bike?
LITELOK X1 is compatible with our innovative X1 Tactical mount for mounting the lock on your bike frame. The X1 Tactical Mount fits a wide variety of bikes and e-bikes ensuring your LITELOK X1 is held securely even the roughest of terrain.
X1 is also compatible with the Twist & Go mount.
Both of the X1 mounts are sold separately.
Has LITELOK X1 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by independent testing bodies Sold Secure and ART. Both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available) and ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.
What is LITELOK X1 made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, our patented anti‑angle grinder material, applied as a permanently fused composite armour to provide maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.

What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

Hard to review a lock when you don’t know if it has stopped a crime! Some may say ( and they do ) that no one will pinch a 28 year old bandit . But I can say I slept well on a recent 8 day trip visiting Normandy . Especially in dodgy areas in Calais and Harlow .

My first bike was stolen because I used a cable lock. Now I've found a different lock after watching a lot of videos and evidence. Litelok X1 is cheaper than X3 but it is still very reliable.
Now I use the latilot X1 together with another folding lock. LITELOK X1 gives me reliable protection, because thieves will not mess with the lock, which is made of borronium, the most durable material that resists grinders. I bought this as I had read about these locks and how secure they were and as I’m travelling through Europe and needed a peace of mind. I have noticed that it’s so easy to fit the key in and lock u like other locks where it can be awkward. It feels like a solid bit of kit too

It seems to be well made. I transport it in a back pack. Its easy to use. Ì havent had anyone try to cut it so cant comment there but i do feel happy i done what i can to deter thieves.

Great lock, easy to use, fits in various positions on my bike on both front and rear wheels.
The lock would benefit from the shackle being an extra 1.5cm wider to enable it to go over a sport bike wheel & tyre.

I have two of these – one for a sports tourer and another for a Vespa. On the tourer, the Litelok goes easily around two of the cast spokes on the rear – it's not wide enough to go around the tyre at either end. I hope that means at least two cuts to remove it... On the Vespa, I can fit it over the tyre, through the wheel or through the fork/suspension and wheel – though it's a tight fit for each position. I don't lock the Litelok to anything else – it acts as a disc lock on both bikes.
These aren't complaints – just an observation that the lock is slightly too small in every dimension for my bikes. I can't comment on resistance to attack, since they thankfully haven't been tested.
The only real grumble is that the lock bar can be fiddly to remove and attach – it seems to be very sensitive to being perfectly aligned with the U-bar ends.
