Can X3 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X3 is at least 20 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading D-locks as well as needing multiple discs and batteries to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X3 weigh?
LITELOK X3 weighs approximately 2.1kgs or 4.6lbs.
What's the difference between X3 Bike and X3 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X3 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling D-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X3?
LITELOK X3 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 100 x 195mm.
Has LITELOK X3 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Pedal Cycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available). It has also been tested by ART, and certified ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

Our founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, supported by Innovate UK, worked closely with some of the world’s leading material scientists for over 5 years to develop Barronium®, our ground breaking angle grinder resistant technology.
What is LITELOK X3 made from?
LITELOK X3 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X3 is sold with a 7-year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

I initially bought the LITELOK ONE MOTO, and used that with an alarmed disc lock.
Then also purchased the X1 MOTO and added that to my arsenal of deterrent.
Along came the X3 MOTO, and now I use the X3 on my front wheel, the X1 on the rear whenever I am out and about, along with a tracker.
At home I use the same combination, along with the ONE MOTO and an alarmed disc lock, and then cover it too.

Purchased as part of bundle for a new bicycle. One other review that made me laugh was the clown that was complaining about the injection moulding sprue marks on the coating, so glad I’m not married to them……there’s absolutely do doubt about the quality, it is very well made.
My first use unfortunately was trying to attach to some over sized bike racks of some +80mm diameter so could only get around the top tube. In an ideal world you’d want to lock rear wheel, seat post frame and cycle rack but even then this feels tight because of the internal diameter and the additional volume of the rims on my bike and so has to be at angle….. further reducing the space to lock to something. I have no doubt someone has done the numbers on this and works for the majority, the issue is making this lock any larger is only going to add to its already substantial weight. This isn’t the products issue, the problem is ***** stealing bikes with grinders and is the accepted compromise to negate this. My bike wouldn’t be insured either if I didn’t use this lock. Until someone invents a lock which is like chainsaw trousers and immobilise the grinders we all just have to haul these units around.

Already have 2 x X1’s and use these on my cycles & motorcycles but wanted to go the whole hog and get the X3 for when I actually leave my motorbikes in London, unattended.
In concert, the X1 & X3 combined make the ultimate defence barrier against thieves, and either one is super reassuring and effective for all but 4 guys lifting and hoisting the bike into a van, not real world thievery these days from my experience.

Wonderful lock. Very solid, key slides easily in and out. It is heavy, but that's to be expected with a lock this robust. I certainly feel much better locking up my bike outside than I did before.

Excellent locks and feels very strong, it fits perfectly in some motorbikes but not all.
You have to find your way around the wheels and get a noose chain.
I hope litelock will make bigger versions of strong Barronium locks in the nearest future.
