It is a super hard ceramic composite material that repels angle grinder attacks and turns the grinder's energy and force in on itself. Can X3 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X3 is at least 20 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading d-lock as well as needing multiple discs and batteries to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X3 weigh?
LITELOK X3 weighs approximately 2.1kgs or 4.6lbs.
What's the difference between X3 Bike and X3 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X3 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium™ that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium™ meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X3?
LITELOK X3 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 100 x 195mm.
Has LITELOK X3 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Pedal Cycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available). It has also been tested by ART, and certified ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

Our founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, supported by Innovate UK, worked closely with some of the world’s leading material scientists for over 5 years to develop Barronium®, our ground breaking angle grinder resistant technology.
What is LITELOK X3 made from?
LITELOK X3 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X3 is sold with a 7-year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

Very good quality lock. Better than expected. Lovely case to stop it rattling in my top box while riding . A few pics to see it on the front wheel of my honda crf250l. Enough room to go through front wheel and a fixing point. Could gain a little extra room going through middle of front fork if needed.

Very surprised at the weight of this dang thing. It's looks to be very well designed and fits nicely through the spokes of my rear motorbike wheel. The key is very intricate making lock picking a very tedious task without destroying the lock. The pouch thay comes with it seems pointless so I don't use it.

I have used D locks for years and never had anything stolen. So to some extent the presence of a security device achieves the main objective. But the criminals have upgraded their kit so I have too. What is striking is that both arms of the lock are firmly locked in place so that much more cutting would be needed, taking more time and equipment.
This is a solidly made device and taken with the second one on the other wheel, a chain and two trackers is still quick to deploy. But it isn’t light

As per the title. The X3 Moto is an absolute monster and just looking at it, it is quite clear that I lot of thought and high quality materials have gone into the design and manufacturing. The barrel and handle are absolutely solid, and the key mechanism glides like a dream. With the lock not being directly exposed to the elements, I daresay this thing will do well in fending off the winter chills.
Despite it's size, fits nicely through both spokes and both discs of the front wheel of my BMW F800R. Weighes a few kg but not enough that you can't sling it in a backpack. The width of the lock is sizeable enough to be visually deterring, though as with any thief, if they want something badly enough they will have a go at it, however if you're looking at buying one of these, you know that it's a worthwhile investment. Why skimp on cheaper locks that will be gone in a disk's time and risk your pride and joy? If I ever do have the misfortune to be targetted, I think this lock will ruin someone's day.
