Is the LITELOK X3 angle-grinder resistant?
Yes. The LITELOK X3 is armoured with patented Barronium®, a composite material designed to significantly resist angle-grinder attacks by turning the grinder’s energy back against itself.
While no lock is completely unbreakable, testing has shown the X3 offers at least 20× more resistance than current leading D‑locks, requiring multiple cutting discs and batteries to defeat. This dramatically increases the time, effort, and noise involved — a strong deterrent for commuters in higher‑risk areas.
What is the advantage of using the CORE Flex with the X3?
The LITELOK X3 and CORE Flex are designed to work together to provide a balance of maximum security and everyday practicality.
Use the X3 as your primary lock when securing your bike frame to fixed objects in higher‑risk environments. The CORE Flex complements this by adding a lightweight, wearable, and flexible locking option, ideal for securing additional contact points such as wheels or accessories.

Can I wear the CORE Flex while riding?
Yes. The CORE Flex is designed to be worn around the waist while riding, using the supplied wearable kit for comfort and convenience.
It can fit waist sizes up to approximately 41", and the wearable system secures the lock in place without needing to fasten it tightly around your body.
How do I carry the LITELOK X3?
The LITELOK X3 can be carried in the supplied X‑Pouch, or mounted to your bike using the X3 Tactical Mount (sold separately).
Both options are designed to keep the lock secure, stable, and easy to access during your commute.
Can I attach the CORE Flex to my bike?
Yes. The CORE Flex is supplied with wrap straps and mounting options, allowing it to be attached to your bike frame, pannier rack, or other suitable points.
Its flexible construction also allows it to be coiled and secured neatly for transport when not in use.
Who invented Barronium®?
Barronium® was developed by LITELOK founder and CEO, Professor Neil Barron, with support from Innovate UK.
Developed over more than five years alongside leading material scientists, Barronium® is a patented composite material designed specifically to resist modern theft methods such as angle-grinder attacks.
Are the locks in this bundle keyed alike?
No. This bundle is not keyed alike.
The LITELOK X3 and CORE Flex each come with their own set of keys, allowing each lock to be managed independently.
What is the warranty?
Warranty is applied per individual lock in the bundle:
- LITELOK X3: 7‑year warranty
- LITELOK CORE Flex: 1‑year warranty
Both warranties cover mechanical or operational faults arising from normal use. Cosmetic wear and tear is not covered. We recommend registering your locks and keys so replacements can be ordered if required.
