Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading D-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.

LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.

There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.

LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.

LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured u-locks.

Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available).

LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.

The X range comprises of three layers of protection:  

1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks 

2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs 

3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.

• The LITELOK X1 Moto is independently tested and certified Sold Secure Powered Cycle Diamond, providing high‑level primary protection.
• The LITELOK CORE Moto is independently tested and certified Sold Secure Powered Cycle Gold, offering strong secondary security.

Used together, the two locks provide layered protection suitable for meeting the requirements of many motorcycle insurance policies. Always check your insurer’s specific policy wording for confirmation.

The X1 Moto and CORE Moto are designed to work together to provide layered, motorcycle-specific security.

Use the X1 Moto as your primary rigid lock to secure major structural components or anchor points. The CORE Moto adds flexible secondary security, ideal for securing wheels, additional contact points, or extending reach around larger objects.

Warranty is applied per individual lock in the bundle:

• LITELOK X1 Moto: 3‑year warranty
• LITELOK CORE Moto: 1‑year warranty

Both warranties cover mechanical or operational faults arising from normal use. Cosmetic wear and tear is not covered. We recommend registering your locks and keys so replacement keys can be ordered if required.
